Volitan Lion lost its horns?

Hi all
My year and a half old, 8 inch lion has lost his horns. This happened slowly over the course of about 2 months or so. A buddy of mine that works in a LFS told me that as lions grow their horns disappear but I've noticed from the pics on this site that a lot of people have much bigger fish that appear to still have the horns right above their eyes.
What gives?

That's normal. When they reach adult hood, they lose them....most of the time. I have a 15" Volitan that still has his and his "whiskers".

AW2,
That picture that you posted of yours in one of the other threads the other day is what prompted me to start this thread in the first place. Mine still has his whiskers though. Is that something else that can go?
Thanks!!

Most will lose their "whiskers" too.
The "horns" and 'whiskers" are used by juveniles, as a type of camoflauge, when they hide in vegetation, etc.
