I strongly agree with this. It's very difficult to keep any type of a conversation going on with multiple people when you have to wait 4 minutes between posts. You can actually lose a good deal.

i think its a good idea however i think swf said at one point it was in order to help with spammers from other sites, however i dont think 4 minutes compared to 1 minute is a big deal.. but it would be 4 times as fast for them to spread out more advertisements or bad things

yet i've never received a spam pm...what spammer is going to wait 2 weeks to start spamming?

I think it's more so the mods can keep up with the flow and also so that you "don't" carry on conversations.
I think they'd rather you exchange email addy's for that. That have pushed the "This is not a chat room" thing since I've been here.
That being said, when I check my messages and have 5 PM's from 5 different people, I have to stay on the computer for 20 minutes to respond!
SOMETIMES, just sometimes, I can't be on that long, lol
