looking for anew fish to put in my friends 29gl he has aporci pine puffer and a cow fish. any suggestions
want a new fish

both of those fish will grow over a foot and cant be kept in that tank for long- but are you asking now- or after you move the fish out?

he is moving the fish to a 55gl. will this be large enough for 3 fish? and if so what could be the t hird? a dog face?

He sure wants some big fish a cow fish- depending on what species can get a foot and a half a puffer around 10inches- i wouldnt put any of these fish in less than a 175gallons! The more gallons, the better- i would tell him about this.
