research overflow's to allow water to get in to ur sump. want to use gravity to get the water to ur fuge tank and then a pump to get it back to ur tank. this ensure that is the power goes out or pump fails ur tank does not over flow. there are other options but it can lead to flooding.
good luck:happyfish

You could place a powerhead in your sump with airline tubing attached to the outlet. Then have refugium drilled in the back, fit with a 1" bulkhead..to which tubing is attached..allow water to drain by gravity back to your display.Or..TEE off of your return pump in your sump,to the fuge...to get water there..use a ball valve to control how much water goes to the fuge. Then follow other instructions for return to display.

I was wanting to get a fuge for my 55 as well..Thr lfs suggested a H.O.T. due to you pump the water in and just flow out, not harming the pods on the way to the display tank..What do you guys think??

oh so your saying drill the side of the 10 gallon glass tank and put another overflow from the tank to the rufugium nad put a pump from the fuge either to the sump or tank?is that right?
