I have a 29 gallon Bio cube wit the stock lid. I want to take the lid off when and if I get LED's. On a square tank it would be rather easy to make the "net' screen netting. The cube is rounded off so...... feed me with your thoughts please.

I'm no help, I just got a retrofit led assembly for my nano-cube and installed it in the lid. Maybe you can use those plastic light diffusers from home depot and cut to fit the top. That might work

Maybe.... My wife has the netting lid on her 120. That was an easy build for her tank is cornered off. The cube however is rounded, not sure if there is anything curved as such at the home depot. Will have to look.

PM Spanko, I'm pretty sure he has a link to another forum where someone has a DIY thread and it came out really nice.

You could make a wood frame cut out of ply wood in the form of the tank. Paint it to match the trim if there is any and just clue or tack your netting to that.
Edit: I just took a look at some bio cubes. Don't really see why you couldn't just make a square one that would still fit. Just might have an every so slight gap in the front curved part of the tank. Probably minimal.

I've seen someone (probably spanko!) show off a net top they made for a 36g bowfront tank. The aluminum frame you use to build the screen is very pliable, and can easily take small curves without much distortion. He just bent the front frame to the curve of the tank (using the tank as a guide) and attached the sides and back. From the description, it wasn't any more difficult than making a regular net top.
