well here is another lighting question....i changed out the bulbs on my DT almost a month ago now i dropped the light period when i first put them in from 8hrs to 4 and am not back up to 8 moved it up 1 hour everyweek but most of my coral seem to be really unhappy and have almost all washed out...3/4 of my zoas wont open my brown/green button polps have turned grey where they were green, my finger leathers wont open/stand up...i have been thinking about just tossing the bulbs and getting phoenix bulbs....my anemone, toadstool, and mushrooms are the only things doing well...the anemone was added this week so it knows no different
what should i do?
get new bulbs
give the bulbs in there now more time
or put the old bulbs back in??

doesnt seem like a major increase in intensity. with changing the bulbs under a year and being in the same k range they seem like they should be close. there could still be a reaction to a different spike in a certain color spectrum. coral sometimes just dont like change wether its better for them or worse. you took the right approach with the change in lighting schedule. they just might need some time

yeah i was thinking just give them some time but im a little worried since it seems to be getting worse and it has been a month 3 days from now and i havent had it take this long before
and by worse i mean zoas that were opening earlier in the month no longer open....1 being my brown/green center button polyps
