waste managment

I need some solutions on how to maintain the waste accumulated in my tank from day to day. Each day I have to take the net and clean the substrate. Is there a way to avoid this if not avoid decrease it. I sure would like to hear some suggestions.

a good clean up crew ? or larger one.
hermets, snails, starfish etc.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I have a aggressive set-up with just a mappa Puffer for now. So the clean-up crew wouldn't work for me. I currently have 5 mexican turbos in there.
