Water change/calcium

Just did a water change on my 80 reef the calcium dropped from 500ppm to 400ppm I thought water changes increases the calcium ppm. Please explain this to me. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

How much water did you change?
Some salt maixes are low in calcium i.e. Instant Ocean.....also at what salinity did you mix the salt?
If you mix salt at lower salinity such as 1.020 then the calcium will be lower.
