I had a recent ick outbreak, and all of my fish died. I was wandering If I did a complete water change would it be o.k. to put my live rock back in, because it is starting to loose its color.

probably because the ich is still existing in the tank, w/ no fish in there it has no hosts(fish to latch on to and countinue to live) ich will survive for weeks on its own but will then die off..I have posted several times and I know some disagree but after my first couple of bouts w / ich my brother told me to do this and it has worked every time w/ absolutly no problems.(3-4 times..tang cowfish porq puffer) 20% water chane if you already havent slowly raise temp to 82,leave it for 5-7 days the ich cannot survive the temp yet most fish and corals can...

I'm glad works for you but I've had an ick problem, and my tank is always at 80-82 in summer. It never seemed to affect them.

Raising the temp of the water may accelerate the life cycle of ick, but it will also cause stress to tank inhabitants, reduce o2 levels in your tank, effect the biology of your substrate and cause algae.
The purpose of leaving your tank wo fish for that period of time is that ick is a fish parasite. In the absence of its source of food [fish] ick will die off.
