Water Change Help!!!

I have a 37 gal. reef tank. 30 lbs. of LR. What would be the best for water change?
5 Gal's twice a month
or
10 Gal's once a month
Some opinions would help.

I just continually add water when it evaporates, other than gravel cleanings.I only use RO(reverse osmosis) water bought from water store.$3.50 for 5 gallons.This water takes out 98% of all metals and things you don't want.Distilled only takes out 40%.Most of all my problems dissappeared when i stopped using tap water.

Jeremy you do do water changes, right? Galvin of your two choices 5gal twice a month is better but as mentioned 10gal twice a month is the best.
