water change = stress?

I bought 4 clowns/2 scopas/naso last monday. I have been feeding every day and all were looking real good. No ick no nothing. On Saturday morning I did a water change on my big tank and did a 10gallon change on my 200 where I have the new fish. The temp, alk and ph matched the tank.
The next day all had ick and were dead by sun night. I'm friggen mad.
I did have a sailfin that was already in the tank and he did not get any issues. no ick or stress from what I can tell.
It's not the salt, my other tank is fine no issues.
Can stress kill so quick?

nope I did all kinds of stressful tank stuff with my two tangs (powder brown and hippo) and they never got ich from it. Introduced a fish from the pet store and just like that they got it..got cured with culpramine and didn't get it again.

your water change was just aligned with the stage of ich where they seek a new host. a week after you got them seems about right on time for it. they already had the ich and when they drop off, multiply and reseek a host its always much worse than before (where it may have not been visable on your fish). If you had quarantined them this would have happened there instead of your display.

Alot of LFS's are nortorius for having ich and very poor water quality. JMO that you also might have added to much livestock to fast. That also creates alot of stress. Sorry for your losses.
