Water change water is cloudy.

Mixed some salt with my R/O water last night for a water change today and when i got home the bucket was very cloudy. The pump i had in there to mix it with was coated in white kinda powdery film and whe ni rubbed my hand on the inside of the bucket it was all over my hand. It isn't bad salt cause i had a little bit left and mixed some more and it is already clear. I hate to throw the water out cause i am out of salt and my order won't be here til next week and i need a water change. Anyone know what it is?

Test the salinity, is it off the chart (like did you use too much)? Maybe the bucket was dirty? Never had this problem!

I did have too much salt in it, way off the chart my holding tank for my R/O was empty and i had to wait awhile to add more water. Maybe it was calcium from way too much salt?

Will the water clear up? Been mixing it for 4 hours and still can't see the bottom of the bucket.
