Water change water

I started to use Reef Crystal syn salt instead of Instant ocean, Question, I filled 5 gal of RO water and added 2 cups of -- salt and turned on the Rio 600 to mix it up and the water is bubbling like club soda, Its been going for about 24hrs and still bubbles and a fine smoke coming off the top , Is this normal or should i dump this batch and start again. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

I would think anytime water smokes and bubbels it cant be a good thing. better safe than sorry

I'm currently using the same salt. IMO this salt is very similar to Instant ocean. If you will turn of the pump, these air bubbles will disapear quickly. But....unfortunately i cannot tell you nothing about the smoke. I have never noticed that when i mixed this salt.
