should i move my rocks and dead coral when makeing a water change?

kris Member Apr 16, 2002 #4 I personally do move everything and vacuum in and around all rocks, but then I have a cc bed and very messy fish--If I was not this thorough I believe I would have MUCH higher nitrate levels.

cwfish Member Apr 16, 2002 #5 If you are worried about deadspots or cleaning the rock, just take a powerhead and wash the rocks off with it underwater. That should take care of it.
