Is it RO/DI? Or are you just adding aqua safe or water conditioner to it? Either way, make sure levels are safe, then if you're worrying about pH and the like, ad it to the tank, let it dilute, and then add chemicals as necessary at that point.
most commercial salt one buys nowsdays hv all the trace elements and buffer already. i use reef crystal. and i can tell u my ph is 8.2-8.3 after its mixed. i dont add any extra, and i hv over 21 corals, including 8 sps.
