Water Changes

For those of you that are interested, here are 2 links that I find very good reading.
Written by BY CRAIG BINGMAN Ph.D., he addresses many misconceptions regarding both the need for water changes over time, what you can expect your water chemistry/tank to gain from performing water changes, and his recommended procedure for mixing new saltwater batches.
I find this sort of information both informative and worth keeping.

Its actually kinda easy, you just get the same mixing device for your cordless drill/driver that you would use to mix paint. THey sell them at just about any major hardware store. Thats actually a really good idea and i wish that i woulda thought of it before!!!

Yeah, this hobby is so crazy, because there really is no right or wrong method. The truth is that we are the scientists, and pioneers, and our aquarium is just one big continuous experiment, that we must tend to everyday. Like broomer, i have a ton of books on marine aquariums, and it gets frustrating when one books says that this is what should be done while another totally contradicts that statement. Its kind of funny, but experience is the only true expert. wow, sorry i just kinda started babbling there. anywho have a great day all!

I know exactly what you are saying.
I've said it before, what works for some may not work for others.
For example my brother up in SC tells me of the methods and live stock people use and have up there and are totally different that what most people use and have down here in FL.
Niether one of us are right or wrong and we are both just as succesful.
