Water changes....

I have an idea about what I want to do...just want to get some input/reinforcement about it :) I want to put a rubbermaid tub somewhere and put a powerhead and heater and all the necessary equipment in it...I just don't know where to but it...I have two roommates who think I am nuts for spending money like I do, and I don't want to put it outside, even though I live in Mississippi, the temp and weather change every 15 minutes...I would really like some ideas on what to put the water in and where to put it...I recently did a aquarium move to try something different, no fish in the tank, and after I drained enough water to move it it ended up in the same place...but anyway I put most of my water into a 31 gal rubbermaid container and the sides were really bulging out like the plastic was about to fail...I really didn't feel comfortable with that...sorry this was so long
thanks

Well this is just a matter of available space.
We have 3 bathrooms for 2 people.
That's 2 more than we actually need ;) but nonetheless, still nice to have.
I've converted the one half/bath to my fish room. Has sink, electric outlet, large closet and a shower stall we never ever used.
So all my wet work, RO/DI, saltmixing and plastic containers are in the shower stall.
I use (2) 20 gallon rubbermaid containers for RO/DI and mixing salt. They fit just right in the stall.
All my other tank junk, test kits and supplements are in the closet out of site.
When company comes over - I'm normally asked by my girlfriend and wife to be - that I "need" to clean up my messes. Ain't so bad - she's right most of the time - I do make messes.
5 minute clean-up, pull the shower curtain and everything is out of sight.
This bathroom/fishroom is only 12 feet around the corner from my main tank - so it works out pretty good for now.
It's just a matter of free space you have where you keep all your stuff and water change equipment.

I am sure that your rubbermaid tub wont burst. i have a 30 gallon rubber maid tub, and it DOES bow out, but does not break. plastic is really strong... i would just use your rubbermaid tub.
