Water Changes???

How often should I do a water change? We have a 200 gallon aquarium, We have had several freshwater aquariums in the past, but this whole saltwater things is kinda getting to our heads. And buying the water from the LFS is getting kind of expensive and someone had mentioned that we might want to buy something to make the water. What are they talking about? And if we do make our own water, how much salt do you add... ect.

Get and RO/DI unit to fliter your own water. It will save you a ton of time and money in the long run. I do 10% water changes every week. Some do a bigger amount every other week. I've heard of people doing 1% every day. Basically do whatever works for you and keeps your water levels in check.
