Water changes?

How often can you do a 20% water change? Once a day, once every other day?, etc...? Would doing a more frequent water change help cut down on brown algae?

I only do 10-15% once a week. But I have had a couple of algae outbreaks and increased this to every other day for about a week or two (and it did knock out the problem).

I would follow a thread on a continuous water change system. Would be cool…

Algae comes from a lot of things. Mostly over feeding not enough flow and high phosphates. I feed a lot but a have a great mechanical filtration. I also have good flow so no deads spots are there. Using RO water will help a ton. Cutting back on lights. Maybe 8 hours I run mine for about 9.
I would get a UV sterlizer turn up the flow and it will kill most of it.
