Water circulation in my 150g FO tank

I was wondering if my water is circulating properly or not. I have a reef ready tank and the water comes out in the back and it comes out of 2 returns that point at each other(they are about 3-4 feet apart). What I'm wondering is are they supposed to be pointed at an angle down or are they set up correctly. The reason I ask is because the local pet store set it up for me and I had no idea at that point about fish tanks, but now that I have learned so much I'm wondering if I'm not getting circulation in the entire tank. Does anyone have the trickle filter set up with this kind of return, and if so where do your returns point?

I would have them pointing towards the center front of the tank. They should be aimed in a way that they create a ripple effect on the surface of the water. This is where water airation takes place. If you still think you need more circulation, place a powerhead in each corner of the tank to move water lower in the tank. This is how my 125 is set up,and the water turns over very quickly. STEVE
