What are the best water choices for water changes? RO, Brand named bottled mountain spring water, brand named distilled water, or brand named drinking water? The store bought waters offer so many different choices, it gets confusing which is the best for aquarium use. Thank you for your input on this issue.

i use RO water and almost everybody recommends it. i wouldnt use bottled though, that would get really expensive. doesnt your grocery store have a place to get RO water? or maybe your lfs. if nothing else call your lfs and ask them where they get their water.

I use "Nobles Ultra Pure Water" - Made in Australia so I doubt it would be available in the US. But if us Australians can bottle extremely good purified water, surely the U.S has something also.
How much do Reverse Osmosis units cost approx?
Is tap water usable, provided you use appropriate de chlorinators etc??

I'm pretty lucky in my area, I think... My LFS has RO/w salt already mixed, makes water changes soooo much easier...

Since I live about 45 mi from the closest PS I have to get my water from the store - RO about 69 cents per gallon. i will continue to do this until my wife agrees that an RO filter is a good idea. also - my local water is very poor and full of chlorine and phosphates so bottled is the only way for me.
