water evapartion

I have a question about how much water evap there is in a sump. Is there a standard. I seem to be putting close to a 1/2 gal of water in a day & half, seems like a lot to me.

Before I got my ato...I was adding like 2g's a day in my 225G
 
It also depends on how much air movement (?? lack of wording here) LOL I have a fan on my sump....and 2 small fans on the top

so since ther is not much air under the stand water evaps quicker. that is a pain.

LOL...NO I think it's the opposite.....the more air flow on your water=more evap

I think colder air outside and warmer tank water helps the evaporation too. I added 3g a day to my 90g when I had the temps high.
