Water Evaporation

Greetings all,
During my 30 day cycle the LFS said that I should replace the water that evaporates from within my tank with regular water, but what about when the cycle has completed. What type of water should I use after the cycle completes and fish are added?
Thank you,

if your are replacing evaporated water u need to replace it with fresh water because salt does not evaporate. this is true for the life of your tank. you should be using RO/DI water from your systemif you ahve one or buying it from the LFS or any other store that sells it unless you have pristine tap. the only time you should add salt water to your tank is when u do a water change.

I don't recommend using spring water. If you are purchasing water to top off your tank I recommend using distilled water.
Although spring water is clean enough to drink, doesn't mean that it is free of all contaminents. There may be no bacteria in it but may contain heavy metals, phosphates, and nitrites/nitrates. Which may be harmless for human consumption, but are not recommended for your saltwater tank.
Buy an RO/DI system as soon as you can, if you plan on staying in the hobby.
It will pay for it self in fuel cost alone. But until then buy RO/DI from the local fish store or use distilled water.
