Water from a dehumidifier ??

Just wondering is the water that is collected from a dehumidifier considered distilled ? and would it be ok to use for top off etc. Just an idea my dehumidifier in the basment would provide about 2 gallons a day if this were true ?

This was recently discussed on the reef board. If I remember correctly, it was generally discouraged because the water is condensed on a copper core, and the water could easily collect contaminents there. Do a search on the reef board for this topic if you want more info.
