I was replacing the impellor on my pump and after i did I forgot to hook the pump back to the plumbing ( was in a hurry). well when I did the obvious happend. My question here is do I need to be worried? I shut the pump off as quick as possible even through being shocked. I got towels right after that and started cleaning it up. there doesnt seem to be anymore standing water, but it was probably around at least a gallon of water.

What are you worried about in particular? Damage to the stand or electrical?
Obviously you need to ensure that no electrical connections are wet, and no equipment not designed for immersion is wet. Cords running across a damp surface is not ideal but probably won't hurt anything.
I'd go in there with a wet dry vac. If you don't have one, Lowe's has them on sale right now and EVERY aquarist should have one! They can suck the surfaces nearly dry.
I actually have a wet dry vac dedicated to my tanks.

i believe that I got it dry, but I am worried that maybe some water got into the wood and would hurt the integrity of the stand. yeah my power strip is in the trash I know it was wet, I was getting shocked trying to hit the switch for it.
and thanks for the quick response

Oftentimes equipment can simply be left to dry for a few days and used again. Saltwater sometimes leaves behind a salt residue though that's hard to get out and still conductive, so you may be better off.
As far as the stand... likely no issue. The wood will dry out and be fine. Occasional splashes are no big deal. If you think about it, when they build a house, the wood framing and flooring is exposed to rain for weeks before they get it all closed in, no big deal.

all the equipment is fine minus the one that I said before. I believe that I got most of the water out anyways. I just started to freak out when it happened. thanks for the information and quick response.
