Water Level Control

I have a 155 Gallon Tank in my basement. I love the thing, but I hate having to add about a gallon of water per day to it (nearest faucet is upstairs). Does anyone have plans for a water level control kit? I was thinking about using a ball ---- from toilet, but haven't quite worked the whole thing out in my head. I can easily pipe a water line to it.
I have a Reefpro 250 and a berlin skimmer underneath my tank.
