I am putting back together a 90g. The inside of the stand and hood have some water damage.
The question is can I water proof this with a sealer and what kind should I use and or NOT use.
I have some polystain can I use this or will the poly fumes be bad for the tank

I've used all kinds of stuff and nothing has ever had any ill effects, but what i usually use is two coats of white exterior latex followed by two coats of Minwax Polycrylic water based polyurethane.
