water pumps

all right im getting ready to buy a wet dry that is rated for 300 gallons. the guy im getting it from says i need a little giant water pump. i have found that these systems cost alot more than the RIO pumps i thought they were the same o does this size filter require a pump like a little giant? any responses are very helpful. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

I hear RIO are junk, Little gaints are good for your size wetdry you will need somethink in the range of 700-1200GPH depending on your overflow. Read the manuals don't listen to the person at the local f. s.

If you want a submersable like the RIO, try the MAG DRIVE pumps. They are good, a few more dollars than the rio, but worth it.

Granted I do not use my rio's for the same application as you guys--but mine have been great for couple years now. Which in my experience is pretty good for any sw equipment.
