Water quality help

All,
I have a 90 gallon with a twenty gallon sump and 100 lbs of live rock. I run a bakpack skimmer, uv system, and use rodi [water.
In terms of livestock Ihave 2 firefish, four in yellow tang, a four inch hippo tang, a coral beauty, two two inch clowns and a couple of turbo snails and a pepper mint shrimp. I also have a couple of clumps of zoas.
I'm having problems with red algae and high nitrate levels. I use an aquarium pharma kit, and while nitrite, PH, and ammonia are great, my nitrate is consistently in the 120+ range. Any suggestions for reducing my nitrate would be helpful. I have a euroreef 250 that needs a new pump. Would installing that in my sump be the best way to go to help in the long term? I do light sugar dosing (.25 teaspoons a day), which does help and reduced my.
nitrates from 180+.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
PS. The tank is about six months old.

The API tests read Nitrates very high. The Seachem test seems to give you a much more accurate reading. The best way I believe to reduce Nitrates is water changes. You can go with Biopellets or aquipure denitrator (basically a slightly safer way to vodka dose) but water changes works. You will probably also see that the situation isn't so dire once you test with the Seachem.
Before anyone says it just for your knowledge is a 90 is too small for the yellow or Hippo tangs once they grow (and they will). You will eventually need to upgrade or rehome them. I have a 90 and plan on adding a Kole Tang because they stay small and is suited for the 90g full grown.
