what do most people use to fill up their tanks? RO/DI water or Tap?

I have always used tap water.But my water is probably among the best in the country(according to culligan).Ourwater comes out of Lake Michigan,and needs very little treatment....I have never had any problems...

since you are in long island, you would hvae to use ro/di water. Tap water here's terrible

you have your own ro/di unit or you goto the store and buy bottles?

Considering the size of your tank, you just gotta get your own unit. More experienced ppl out there can tell you what size unit you should get. They are "measured" in gpd gallons per day, that indicates their capacity. A 50 gpd unit sells for under $200, I think, can't say about larger capacity units. good luck!
