okay... i searched for this, but unable to find any solid recommendation.
What is an ideal water temperture for a reef tank? mine is ranging from 79-84 degree's, depending on how long i leave the mh lights on.
thanks!

well i keep mine around 79.5-80.5 ...iv got a chiller on it ...it seems to be the best temp for my tank....i tried to raise the temp above 80-82 and i noticed that my corals werent as happy :) ...oh and anothre thing i learned from a recent post was that you should let the water temp fluctuate

74-78 is ideal but up to 82 is normally ok i wouldnt go to far over 82 but 84 isnt to uncommon if it were my tank and i had the money i would considder a chiller

i run 79-81. Just try to keep the temps from rapid changes, such as +- 3 degrees in short periods of time.
