Water test kit?

Can someone pls recommend what I need to get to test amonia, nitrates, etc.
I have a small 16 gallon I'm getting ready for 2 clowns, snails and maybe few crabs.
I got the water cycling for 2 days and bought a very small piece of live rock to help expediting the process.
I don't want to spend on test kit more than on the aquarium - is there something universal?
Also, I read everything about changing water w/ fish in it. But do I need to change water while it's cycling next 4 weeks or so?
thank you

Get a master test kit, it has everything you need in one container. One piece of rock is not good enough.
Changing water is easy..make some new saltwater up (make sure SG matches the tanks)...keep it moving in a tub for 24 hours..Then whatever amount of water you remove from the tank, replace that amount. Fish will get out of your way. Some scoop with a container and other use a power head with a hose, your choice.
I wouldn't bother doing a WC until cycle is done.
