Water Test Levels Help

what is the highest range my ph can go without being harmful to my fish? all other levels normal,, nitrates a bit high but ok. ph level is 8.8 today

I would'nt want it much higher than that, it should be about 8.2. It also pends on what you have in your tank, and how they react to ph swings.

Do you know why your PH is so high? Have you added a buffer to the water? Don't bring it down quickly. Mix up some water and do several small water changes. Don't change the PH more than one point per day.
