Water?

In adding water to my tank, I have well water instead of a local water supplier, and I'm not near enough to the ocean to find a pet store there.. Is it better to use the well water or should I still get distilled water?

Well water can,and usually does, contain all kind of nasty stuff that WILL harm your tank. Distilled water is better,But RO is best...

Why not go to one of those fill your own jug water dispensers all over the place. Theres one in just about every wal-**** or grocery store. Usually they will say that their water is both RO and DI. The ones I use are .21 / gal .
Mr. Salty, Wouldn't using Distilled water cause die-off??? To distill water, it must be steamed or boiled, and that rremoves all of the O2. I've been afraid to use it from what I learned in biology about distilled H2O. I remember one brand in paticular had a high copper content as they used copper tubing in their distillation process.

It depends on how big your tank is as far as getting water from the "fill your own jug". This could be a pain in the *** if you have a 125g.
RO is definately the best choice. Wise investment!!
