For adding water due to evaporation which water is better:
Distilled or R/O? I am being told that distilled is much better and I can get it at the store for .40 per gallon. If I must use R/O then I would need to make the water myself. Any thoughts?

There have been several threads about this issue, and I and others did a lot of research on this.
RO is good
RO/DI is better
With modern distillation methods and EPA laws which not only the US follows, but other countries also, Distilled is as good as, if not better than RO/DI.
You can check the label on the distilled and get the manufacturer. They usually have a web site with the quality reports of their water. Most distilleries put out really good quality water that rivals RO/DI.
hope this helps.
