I currently have 2 160gph power heads along with a fluval 304 canister filter that produces 260 gph in my 55 gallon tank. My pH is alittle low - 7.8 is where its at now, with all other params being fine. I'm wondering if my water flow is alittle low and if adding another power head could help with the ph problem? The tank just finished cycling and I am in the process of adding my first fish and getting my cleanup crew. The only powerhead that i have laying around the house is a 290 gph power head, would this be overkill?
