I know we must try to refrain ourselves from putting are hands in our tanks but when a frag falls over or i need rock re-aquascaping....i must do so! Just today my comb blenny bit me! LOL didnt draw blood cuz his lil comb teeth are for scraping algae, but shur did give me a quick jolt as my hand reacted before it even clicked in me brain....lol now i have a nice scrape from the trim of the tank on my arm! Also my cleaner shrimp will clean my hand. Its AWSOME imo and kool to actually get some hands on time with ur pets that u admire through the glass. He will actually latch on as my hand was a fish or something, even though i wash and very well rinse my hands before tank diving!
I was wondering of some of your crazy or scary or even kool moments involving ur tank or tanks and u?!?!?! Now is the time to spill the beans about the bristle worms, the zoo polytoxins, or just flooding ur floors with saltwater!!! lol been their done that!!!

Flooding, yeah, that's a weekly incident in our house, MINIMUM.
My female clown bit me so hard it drew blood, I jumped, knocked into my rock wall and knocked down half of the rocks in the tank. That was GOOOOOOOOD times, let me tell you.
Cleaner shrimp has climbed up my arm and out of the tank.
Didn't tie my hair back while doing some maintenance one time and it got in the water, my tangs jumped on it thinking it was seaweed. NOT FUN! Those b@sterds are strong!
Canopy closed on my head, smashed my face into the center brace on the tank, bloody nose, all in the water. I no longer keep canopies on my tank. (scared to keep the one that came with my 180).
Wrasse jumped out of tank while feeding and landed IN my shirt.
Yellow Watchmen Goby bit me, got infected - 10days of antibiotics.
And yet, I still want more fish and tanks...

Spike, my 10" Burrfush got my thumb a couple weeks ago. I always hand-feed, so this was more of an eventually, rather then chance. Not overly paying attention, I felt an immediate sharp/strong pressure on my thumb tip, instantly knew she had got my thumb and ripped my hand out. Unfortunately she was still locked onto my thumb, and she went for a ride. Luckily flew all the way onto a chair for a soft landing. Freaked out, she instantly puffed up, and as most here knew, a puffer sucking in air, is never a good thing. Freaked out myself, I almost tossed her immediately back into the tank, but right as I went to grab her, knew to wait a couple seconds till she deflated. Otherwise, she could have injested some water, which would make the air extremely hard to escape during deflation.
Dropped her back in the tank, and she hid for the rest of the night, but all is well.
Puffers are strong enough to remove fingers, and I for sure thought she had gotten my thumb tip. Massively thankfully she had just clamped down on the lower section and I believe my nail saved my finger. No broke skin or anything, just felt like I smashed it with a hammer for a few days.

If any pet of mine bites me it loses it's happy home. My tank pump, filters, skimmers, overflows and heaters may be out to get me but my pets...NEVER.

lol, in college, I'd just got my 180 gallon tank, I'd put a smaller dogface in the tank. And my dang room mate thought it was cool to stick his hands in the tank. Anyway, one day that puffer, went up and took a huge bite on his fingers, he freaked out, ripped his hands out. And all was ok. But fortunately he never did stick his fingers back in...

Lets see here my Tessalated eel thinks I am somethging he can wrap up in. It will tuie himself into a knot in my hand when I go to clean the tank. My wife makes me stand there with it in my hand when she cleans the glass of the 150. Then there is the Niger Trigger sucker is getting to the point were it will pick at my firngers and nibble on them. Thinks my fingers are Shrimp it must think since I hand feed them I am food. Worse one in the tank however is the Freaking Purple tang sliced my wife with the scalpel a couple weeks ago. It got put into the Penalty box as I call it aka the QT tank again for a month. It I think learned the lesson has not made an aggressive move since.

Hmmm... I got bit by damsels and they drew blood. Got bit by my clowns and they drew blood. While doing maintenance I got pricked by several bristle worms which caused my fingers to swell, get blisters, get the "pins and needles" feeling and during the last stage of healing my skin peeled off.

WEIRDEST FEELING EVER! Ever tried to catch a small squirming fish inside a shirt? It's not that easy! LOL
And you're right, I do not forget to tie up my hair anymore. Little monsters!
