wave maker

does anyone have a wave maker? I have thought about getting one and hooking it up to my 2 Maxijet ph 900's. is it hard on the pumps? does it start and stop the pumps, or just slow them down?

I don't use one but I will if I ever find a good one...lol. Yes they start and stop your pumps which can be hard on them, but the better ones have a soft start circuit which doesn't just slam e'm on and off...This makes the powerheads life's a little easier..

I have a Red Sea Wavemaster Pro, with soft start.
The Maxi Jet powerheads are great for wavemakers.
