okay guys here's my question I had to leave makers placed across the tank from each other running all the time it would cause dead spots now if I had to wave makers placed in the exact same location on a timer would that eliminate said dead spots?

Silverado, I think what he means is that he had a wave maker on either side of the tank and there were dead spots. He is asking if he puts the wave makers on just one side of the tank, would it create a wave large enough to eliminate said dead spots.

I personally have no clue what kind of wave makers you have - how powerful they are, how big your tank is, where the dead spots are and what your aquascape looks like - so I can't help..

However, if you clarified your question and maybe posted a picture with the information that I mentioned - we might could answer your question better.

But, at this point in time - all I can say is: try it and see.
