Does anyone have any feed back on these lights? Are they good enough for sps?
I have the 48" 4 bulb on my 120 gallon. You can find it on my thread. They're cool lights. The lfs guy told me I could keep everything except acros.

I tried finding the thread you were talking about, but no luck. How are they preforming for you? I read that it's kind of a pain to change the bulbs, is that true?

wavepoint is very new when it comes t5 bulbs. also, it being so much cheaper than bulbs from ati, giesemann or uvi, scares me a bit. wavepoint bulbs could be purchased for around $10, whereas ati, giesemann and uvi bulbs run around $20-25. i wouldnt trust it if put over an established reef tank. but if u r just starting off with soft corals and such, then why not gv it a shot with wavepoint.

I have the four boulb fixture and so far so good, I keep soft, lps and I have a red planet acro and a birds nest. they look relly nice. place them on the top and you should have no problems. make sure your paramiters are in check.

I had them for awhile until I upgraded to halides. I was able to keep anything under them, clams, SPS, anemones, etc.

Cool. I'm thinking about getting a 4 bulb that I've seen on sale. It might go on my 20-gal, but if the legs can be adjusted in a bit, I'm think about putting it on a 10-gal and have a small sps tank.

I also have the 4 bulb fixture. Since I am STILL cycling my tank, I have no corals in my tank as of yet. But I really like the way it looks, the actualy fixture and the bulbs. Very sleek looking.

Do you have to take the side off to change the bulbs in it, and are the mounting legs adjustable? Can you slide them in a couple of inches on each side?

the legs are slide-able (sp?) you can bring them in or out as many inches as you need. I haven't had to change the bulbs yet. I am just using the bulbs that came in it for now. I really like their bulbs anyway
