We Did It!

Hi All. My levels were close to zero yesterday and are ZERO today! We Did It! Whew. Thank you all for your help! (By levels, I mean ammonia & nitrite. NitrAte was 20ish.
50 gal long, 55lbs LR, 65lbs Sand, Fluval 304, Skilter, Powerheads...
1 Purple Tang
2 Percula Clowns
2 Yellow-Tail Damsels
1 Yellow-Head Sleeper Goby
1 Scooter Blenny
1 Serpent Star
1 Cleaner Shrimp
3 Pepperment Shrimp
3 Snails
7 Hermits (various sizes)

congrats, now, just give it a coule of weks, to make sure all stays stable, befor adding antything else(fish anyway)

No more fish! I'm thinking of a Flame Angel someday, but I think that will have to wait until the Purple Tang outgrows the tank and goes to a different home. Also, I heard waiting for the tank to mature for at least 6 months is a good idea with a Flame. You don't think I could have both the Purple Tang and a Flame in 6 months, do ya?
As for inverts, snails, etc... I'll wait until I actually grow algae, etc. to sustain them. I have a small clean-up crew going and I think they are good.
Finally, I won't be able to upgrade lighting, etc. until this year's purchases are paid (lol). So I'm thinking about 1) Good Protein Skimmer 2) Lighting 3) Maybe a sump for next year... then begin building a reef.
