I didn't even know what <3 meant before this came out. I've seen it here numerous times, but I thought it had some mathematical meaning...

I just read the article and although it's kind of a funny to make a "word/phrase ban list" every year, I was kind of put off by this paragraph:
"If I see one more corporation declare itself 'green,' I'm going to start burning tires in my backyard," wrote Ed Hardiman of Bristow, Va., in his submission.
It seems like more of a place for people to gripe than anything else. I hate it when people gripe, especially about stupid stuff like excessive word usage. Are we really becoming that irritable of a society?
And am I the only one who feels this way? It's just kind of stuipid.

You punk!
Although you do bring a nearly flawless argument.

In my defense though, it became more about stirring the pot with the mods than the thread being deleted. I was not happy that the thread I started was deleted without notice and wanted my voice to be heard. The thread could have been about anything and I would have done the same.
In the mod's defense though, they did an excellent job of doing damage control and brought the thread back. I am a now a big supporter of our mods.
