Weird Orange Thing?

Ok, so I do not have a reef tank I have a FOWLR tank and I moved some of my LR around the other day and I found this little guy.. I don't know if it's coral, it looks like one to me, I have never put any kind of coral in my tank, he must have come with the rock, but anyways, can anyone identify it for me and tell me what I can do to keep him happy?? I have NO expirience with these things ... alll help is greatly appreciated :0)

anyways i am no coral expert by any means but to me it looks like it could be some sort of sponge

good sponge bad sponge? what do i do with it? leave it? take it out?

ive never really heard of them being bad or good, i would keep it in and see if it grows, then u will have some color, if not i guess your back to having no coral in your tank, if you have had your tank set up for a long time i think it will be fine since it has survived this long

I have the same exact thing in my tank its in the dark and has been always in the dark and its still growing, i think its a sponge also

Leave it sponges are very beneficial to an aquarium. They provide free filtration.
