Weird things growing in tank?

Hi i noticed i have some weird things growing in my tank. on the glass its little white specs of curly Q lookin shapes. i dont have any snails so what are these? also, on the rocks there are little white pods that look like the shape of the tip of a Q - tip. duz anyone know what these are?

Both of the things you have are quite common in tanks. The first are small tube worms. They often appear in new tanks, but many people have them, harmless filterfeeders. The second critters are exactly what you called them, Q-tip sponges. Also harmless filter feeders.
