Weird worm kinda thing

I hate to do this without a picture, but here goes:
I had a fish that was causing some trouble and did a lot of rearranging last night trying to catch him. I lifted up this one rock and saw these two worm things. They were white and partly transparent. They were cylindrical in shape, but defitely tapered on one end. The thinner end (which i assume was the rear) had a vein or intestine running out the end. Looked like some sort of larvae kinda-thing almost. Was about 3/4 of an inch long.
Almost looked like the link below, though without the ribs on it and more tapered.

I know this is hard without a pic, but any ideas?

Here is a picture of a peanut worm from my tank.. its in the middle white with black dashes.

They were definitely thicker and shorter than the above images, but they did look like some google images of peanut worms. Looked a lot like these:

Are they harmful? Any reason to try and remove them?

nope no reason to remove them.. its a good sign to have them

when peanut worms aren't fully extended they would look somewhat like you described. hence the name .... peanut worm.
