Well dang the new bulbs

I bought a coralife pro when I got back into the hobby and I put it in my canopy but I removed the top. Well the temp wasn't moving much (maybe a degree) so I thought everything was cool. Well I didn't know how old the halides were so I replaced them a few days ago. I just checked the temp because the water felt warm and it is 85 which is a 4 degree difference!

I guess I will take the fans off my other canopy and install them tomorrow since I am about to go out. I hope everything will e okay for another day.

Well I measured last night and the temp was 89 so I turned the lights off. I will break out my other canopy tonight which will raise the lights another 4 inches and this canopy has fans. I just need to make a couple of modifications but I wasn't in the mood to do it last night. I love this hobby but I get tired of crap like this.

I know. I'm just frustated right now. I thought this canopy would work but I guess it's not high enough above the tank. The other canopy is much larger and hard to take on and off. I will do what I have to. I will probably use the bigger one now and build another one later.

Just drop a tea bag in and you could have Fish Tea...

Seriously though, that temp is getting high so be careful...

Nah, it would be too salty for my taste!
I am leaving work early today just so I can get started on fixing the problem.
