Well I thought I had it all figured out. I was wrong. Anyway I though I was going to go with the hang-on skimmer and filter but then heard some bad things about the skimmer and good things about sumps.
Now I am thinking about a sump and fuge and buying a reef ready tank with a built in overflow. What exactly is a built-in-overflow? If I bought a reef ready tank, are all the pipes and things connected? Please explain someone........thnx

Reef ready tank has the holes for the overflow and return already drilled.
Their is a kit you need to buy for the pipes.
I love mine, glad I made the change.

I wouldn't exchange a skimmer for a sump, I would get a sump and a skimmer to go in the sump.
The reef ready tanks IMO are the best way to go.

Definitely go w/ reef ready. Less headaches and less flooding!! Usually the pipes are offered extra. Definitely a good first investment to upgrade to RR. You may still want a skimmer in or on your sump, even with a refugium.
