Well, today is the day...

I'm finally getting my tank today.
As I mentioned in a previous thread, I am acquiring an established 90 Gal tank today.
The previous owner is going to help me set it up today.
So far, I've got a big rubbermaid trashcan that I filled with RO/DI water and salted running with a powerhead and heater since yesterday. I'm thinking (hoping) that the salt will all be disolved by late this afternoon. There's still some salt granules floating at the top. SG is right now at 1.023.
Yesterday, I bought a bottle of Stresscoat that I will be adding to the water that the fish are in during and after transport.
I got some rubbermaid containers along with some of his containers that I will be using to transfer as much as his water that I can from the tank to my home.
I have a 29 gal tank waiting for his water to place the fish in temporarily until the main tank is ready.
I bought 200 lbs of playsand, and 40 lbs of Nature's Ocean Bio-Activ Live Aragonite. The reason for this is that I will be using this to create a 4-5" DSB and replace the current crushed coral that is in the tank. I don't have access to real LS right now, so I'm hoping that the 50lbs of LR currently in the tank will seed all this sand. I'm also hoping that this will not produce a cycle.
Wish me luck everyone, I'm leaving now to go tear down his tank and bring it home...
Please post any concerns or thoughts on this thread. I need all the help I can get.

Good luck Tang_man !!
Sounds like a busy exciting day.
Your plan seems fine to me. If the liverock is in good shape, and you keep the rock wet, you may not experience a cycle. But there are no guarantees.
Again if the live rock is in good shape, and has live critters in it, it will help to seed the new sandbed with life froms.
If not - then you can always add some new live rock later a little at a time.
Hope all goes well :)

Whatever you do, do not add the fish water with stress coat to the tank! That is if your running a protein skimmer or plan to in the very near future..
It will cause a big mess if you do.
Good Luck
