Wet/Dry Cleaning??

I have an Amiracle wet/Dry Sump with a pre-filter "sock", i am using the new set up to cure my LR. The sock has Turned dark brown, and seems like water isn't flowing through it as easily. What is the best and safest way to clean the filter media so water flows freely again?

I personally do not have this type of setup, but I have heard of people cleaning the prefilter sock in the washing machine with bleach, and running the rinse cycle twice. It made sense to me. HTH

yes, exactley what 10k said....my friend has this setup and has two socks, when one needs to be washed he puts the other one on and throws the "dirty" one in the wash ready to be used for teh next change. HTH
