Hi,
I've been reading various websites on which filter i should use for a sh tank. I have a maxi-reef 75 on a 45 gallon aquarium. Do you think this will be too strong for them?

It's hard to say~Flow in a horse tank usually takes several ajustments before you find the right flow. For instance~ My Dwarf Seahorse tank is 15 gallons, I just change my filtration system to my Eheim pro2 which does 275 gph. So it cycles the tank almost 20 times in an hour.
You can always purchase a flow valve too.

It's not really how many gallons per hour. The more gallons your filtrations system pumps in a hour, the cleaner your tank will be. The Flow rate is the important part to focus on in a seahorse tank. Too much flow equals a stressed out horse...to little equals dead spots in the tank and water quality declines very quickly. It's something that you'll need to ajust once you get your tank set up.
